Neighborhood Solar promotes and coordinates group purchasing programs for home owners interested in solar power. We leverage our collective purchasing power to negotiate bulk discounts with local solar installation companies while securing our energy future with low-cost, grid-tied solar installations.
By pooling our resources together, we’re able to obtain economically-justified solar installations that cost homeowners less per month than would otherwise be paid to the utilities for coal-generated electricity costs.
Our goals are to:
- Educate homeowners to the economic and environmental benefits of solar energy
- Encourage solar installation companies to leverage economies of scale by performing installations in bulk, on a neighborhood/community level
- Facilitate the widespread adoption and lower the overall costs of residential solar electric systems
